I have to say that I've seen thousands of images made with poser and most of them look terrible. This on the other hand is something else entirely. Well done.

hey quit posting photos in 3d art man! lol, wow, definitely have to say the wait was well worth it. i'm actually still looking at this trying to spot something that says it's CG. ultra good work man! not sure what more that i can say now lmao.

just had to come back again and see this. by the way, how did you finally end up doing the skin? did you end up going with fast sss or did you just go with standard vray materials. and just curious too, but what was you lighting setup like? did you use a vray sun or just area lights? i'm still kinda confused on the differences of lights between max and c4d so i'm not sure their proper terms in c4d. hopefully you know what i'm saying though. i'm prolly guessing you used a bit of hdri? either way, lighting is spot on man. congrats again, and boo for making me wait forever! :P

thanks for dropping by don. glad that you like it. originally, i was experimenting SSS with this and another WIP. while this use vray sun, the other use studio type lighting (mostly panels). but experimenting SSS with both had me delayed these WIPs for waaay to long, so i dropped the SSS for this and concentrate with only one. so this one comes without the SSS but still i have to play around with the render setting and lightings for quite some time. for the background i used an hdri image and to match the lights with the poser girl, i used the same technique as my Modern Wooden House which we have discussed there.

after the tuts on SSS that you gave me, i actually learned 3d max so that i can understand your tuts better. and yes, the lights are labelled with the same name. maybe the parameters are named slightly different but basically they are the same. here's an image i rendered in max [link]

and thousand apologies lol for making you wait forever.

wow, nice interior man. i didn't even know you were in the process of learning max. do you think it's something you'll stick with or do you think you'll stick with c4d?

for now, i will still stick with c4d coz i've been learning and using it for more than a year now. but if i do wanted to get serious with interior and exterior stuffs, i will make max my 1st choice coz there are so many resources and plugins avaiable for max.

i'm glad that you like my max's interior too. :)
but i only did the textures and render setting for that. just for learning purpose.
whatever i've learnt there, i applied it in c4d and in the future, it is easier for us to exchange ideas :)
